駅から近くにある、古民家ミュージアムに出かけました。

古い建物が風情があり、面白かったです。

手打ちは手で打った、つまり手作り、handmade　の、という意味ですね。

でも、お蕎麦やうどんなど、麺類に関しては

手作り、と言わないで、「手打ち」という言い方をします。

麺は「作る」のではなく、「打つ」。

About noodles, 

we don't say "tsukuru" for make, but "utsu".

"Handmade" is usually 手作り（tezukuri)

but 手打ち (teuchi) for noodles.
